Categories talk, same as users talk, templates talk..., doesn't need categorization because they are intrinsically part of they master page. You can recognize them when looking at the menu, all *_talk are in the tab "Discussion" next the first tab "Category", "Portal", "Page",...

To inhibit the normal fuctionality of "[[category:something]]", you can add a colon before "category" (⇒[[:category:something]]). And btw, another trick: to avoid in the dispaly of the group of the data, "Group:Data", and have only "Data", you can write "|" before the "]]" (⇒[[:category:something|]] giving "something").
